DANVILLE, IN (July 24, 2024) – A local bakery’s renditions of key Hendricks County tourism attractions, destinations and other points of interest grace the cover of the new Visit Hendricks County Travel Guide.
Plainfield’s Mama Bird Bakery partnered with Visit Hendricks County, to bring incredible, edible works of art featuring some of the county’s signature attractions such as the Mayberry Cafe’s deputy car, the iconic Oasis Diner sign, a Tardis representing Who North America and so much more on the front and sprinkled throughout its pages.
“I am thrilled to partner with Visit Hendricks County and see Mama Bird cookies featured,” said Jessica Klatte, co-owner of the bakery. “It's a wonderful opportunity to showcase our delicious creations and share them with visitors exploring our vibrant community.”
While featuring Mama Bird’s baked goods provided a new element Visit Hendricks County had never tried in a Travel Guide, the magazine boasts so much more within its 45 pages to entice traveler interest and resident pride. The guide is packed with the county’s best-kept secrets, top dining options, beautiful images, insider tips and ideas for things to do, events and so much more. The Visit Hendricks County team even brought back their popular tear-out restaurant and hotel map located in the center of the new Travel Guide.
The free guides, which also celebrate VHC’s 25th anniversary, are available and can be requested online at VisitHendricksCounty.com or picked up around the community at various locations.
