Famous Deep Dish Pizzeria to Debut Fifth Central Indiana Store

AVON, Ind. (Feb. 28, 2023) – Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, based in Northbrook, Ill., is expanding the opportunity for Hoosiers to enjoy Chicago’s legendary deep dish pizza in Central Indiana. The famous pizzeria will open the doors to its newest location at 8806 E. U.S. Highway 36, Avon, Ind. on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 4 p.m.

To kick off the celebration, Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria is giving five customers who attend the grand opening event on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. the chance to win Pizza for a Year. Grand opening festivities will also include a custom Lou’s t-shirt for the first 100 paying customers (one per order) and the opportunity to play arcade basketball games and win Lou’s swag.

In addition to serving up their famous deep dish, the company believes in becoming ingrained in the local communities they serve. The pizzeria is known for giving back and has already been involved in the Avon community through partnerships with libraries across Hendricks County and with the Hendricks Regional Health YMCA, and they are looking forward to continuing their tradition of generosity through youth incentive programs, generous donation programs, and working with local charitable organizations.

The 1,400 square foot space does not include a dining room, but will offer carryout, delivery and drop-off catering services. The Avon pizzeria will join carryout and delivery locations that opened in Carmel, Ind. in October 2020, on West 86th St., Indianapolis in March 2021, and Greenwood, Ind. in June 2022 and the company’s first full-service restaurant and bar in Central Indiana, which opened in Indianapolis’ Broad Ripple neighborhood in November 2021.

While the menu is highlighted by the legendary deep dish pizza, it will also offer thin crust pizza along with delicious appetizers, salads, pastas and desserts. Restaurant hours will be available online at       

Malnati’s is hiring approximately 50 local employees for the Avon, Ind. pizzeria and is still looking to fill various positions.
