Indiana Tech earns Gold Designation and Top 10 status as a Military Friendly® School for 2022-23

This is the 11th consecutive year that the university has earned Military Friendly® status

Fort Wayne, Indiana – March 10, 2022

Indiana Tech has been designated a Military Friendly® School for 2022-23 by Viqtory, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) that connects the military community to civilian employment, educational and entrepreneurial opportunities. Military Friendly® is the standard that measures an organization’s commitment, effort and success in creating sustainable and meaningful benefit for the military community.

In addition to Military Friendly® status, Indiana Tech was also recognized as a Top 10-Gold Level institution among graduate programs. According to Viqtory, a Top 10-Gold Level designation indicates Indiana Tech is a “guidon bearer to military/veteran programs and initiatives,” and sets standards for other institutions to follow. This is the 11th consecutive year that Indiana Tech has been recognized as a Military Friendly® School.

“Having earned this award for 11 consecutive years, shows the dedication our university’s president, board of directors, and faculty and staff have in serving students who have served our country.” said Ryan Ozbun, director of Indiana Tech’s Military & Veteran Services team. “This year, the team is eager to get back out into our areas and work with students face to face, as well as attend in-person events at bases and armories to show what makes Indiana Tech a Military Friendly® School.”

Methodology, criteria and weightings were determined by Viqtory with input from the Military Friendly® Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining the institution’s survey response set and government/agency public data sources, within a logic-based scoring assessment. Viqtory measures the institution’s ability to meet thresholds for Student Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Loan Repayment, Persistence (Degree Advancement or Transfer) and Loan Default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.

Indiana Tech’s Military & Veteran Services team extends its support to current members of the military, veterans and military spouses, as well as civilian Department of Defense and Department of Veterans Affairs employees. Learn more at military.indianatech.edu.
