(Indianapolis, IN, April 29, 2022) On behalf of Indiana Members Credit Union (IMCU) members, IMCU recently presented a check for $10,000 to The Tatum Parker Project as part of its exclusive Cancer Awareness Debit Card Program. IMCU members nominate a different local cancer related organization to be the beneficiary each year. Gina Terril, AVP, Business Development, IMCU, presented the check to Jayson Parker, Executive Director, The Tatum Parker Project, on Monday, February 28, 2022.

“The Tatum Parker Project thanks IMCU for their generosity and we were honored to be chosen as their partner for the Cancer Awareness Debit Card Program,” said Jayson Parker, Executive Director, The Tatum Parker Project. “The IMCU commitment to their community is unmatched and their support will have an enormous impact on the lives of Hoosier children battling cancer.”

Their programs provide independence and entertainment that are vital to recovery efforts. Our Cancer Awareness debit card is our most popular give-back card and we are happy to connect our members to causes they are passionate about supporting.”

The card is available for issue to members at IMCU’s 33 Indiana locations. The IMCU Cancer Awareness Debit Card is an option to members with a free checking account and can be issued immediately via IMCU’s instant issue program, which allows members to receive their debit card on the spot.

About The Tatum Parker Project

The mission of The Tatum Parker Project is to positively impact the lives of Indiana pediatric cancer patients. The main project is to provide a Bag of Fun to every child diagnosed with cancer in Indiana. Bags of Fun are backpacks filled with age-appropriate games, toys, and activities that give a child a better day, a smile and something to focus on other than their illness. The bags also give parents the reassurance that someone understands. The Bags of Fun are delivered to the children within the first few weeks of the child’s diagnosis. The second project is to invest in pediatric cancer research. Since inception we have donated $50,000 specifically to pediatric cancer research organizations. Finally, we’re currently developing programs to help children and their families deal with the day-to-day aspects of their illness: financial, healthcare, psychological.
