We’re excited to announce that Darci Borcherding has been appointed as the new Executive Director of the Avon Education Foundation (AEF)! Former Executive Director, Jayda Sommers, will continue to serve on the AEF Board and be active with the organization.

Darci brings a wealth of experience in Nonprofit Fundraising, Marketing, and Communications, along with a passion for education that runs deep in her family. With her mom and grandma both being teachers, Darci understands the value of education and the unique challenges that come with the profession. Darci is eager to leverage her talents and personal insights to broaden the opportunities that AEF can provide to our teachers, schools and students.

In addition to her other credentials, she’s also a proud mother of three adult children and doting grandma. Her grandson has just a few years to wait before he can start Kindergarten at Avon Schools! When she’s not working, you can find her cherishing moments with her grandson, enjoying Indiana Fever games, or actively participating at Connection Pointe Church in Avon. Darci is enthusiastic about connecting with the Avon community. She would love to hear your experiences with the Avon Education Foundation and any needs you may have in your school.
